We have this Eastman Type A-1 jacket in size 46, and it's in used but very clean condition. Gary Eastman was able to find an original of the Gordon & Ferguson contract, and developed a pattern based on it. The leather chosen is wonderful for A-1 jackets (we were able to see one many years ago, and this is quite similar).

The leather is buttery-soft sheepskin with a very vintage and rustic looking dye process, and then it's full of great natural grain, common to sheepskin. All the components are high quality and well sewn. The lining is a dense cotton sateen, and the knits are solid wool. The buttons are all present and securely attached.

The jacket would ideally fit someone in the range of 5'10" to 6'1", with a chest of 41" to 43", and a weight of about 185-210 pounds. The jacket is shown with a wearer who is 6 feet tall with a 41" chest, and there's plenty of extra room for layering in on the torso.
